The map was submitted to
address concerns regarding actual pit boundary locations that were brought into question due to
the poor maps included with the original permit application. To complete incorporation of the
revised map into the permit, it must be submitted as a technical revision, with the appropriate fee
(5188.00) and must be revised to comply with the requirements of Rule 6.2.1(2) and 6.3.5.
Actually, two maps need to be submitted; a Mining Plan Map and a Reclamation Plan Map as
specified by Rule 6.3.5. Revisions necessary for each of these maps are noted below and must be
submitted by December 31, 2004.
MINING PLAN MAP
1. Label the permit boundary and contour elevations;
2. show the direction of mining;
3. delineate and label the overburden/fines stockpiles to be used for reclamation backfill and as
a growth medium for revegetation;
4. show the irrigation ditch adjacent to the west side of the site and indicate the owner;
5. indicate all adjacent properties within 200 feet of the permit area and label them with their
respective owners of record;
6. label all permanent manmade structures (including fences) with their respective owners;
7, show and label pre-existing disturbances adjacent to the permit area;
8. Signature of preparer and date.
RECLAMATION PLAN MAP
1. Label the permit boundary and contour elevations;
2. show final proposed contours (maximum 2H:1 V slopes)
3. show where fill will be used to reduce highwal{s to final grade;
4. indicate proposed thickness of overburden and fines to be replaced across the disturbed
area prior to revegetation efforts
5. Signature of preparer and date.
Office of Office of Colorado
