' I. INTRODUCTION
This drainage report has been prepared for the gravel products
operations being conducted by Goaney b Sons, Inc. of Hayfield,
' Colorado. The operations are being performed at the Hayfield No. 1
_ pit, which is located approximately 2.5 miles south of Hayfield on
1 C.R. 521 (the Buck Highway). The report has been prepared for the
overall drainage for all of the phases and detailed analysis of
' Phase I. Included in this report are outlines for the drain- age
conditions, peak discharges, hydraulic design considerations, and
retention requirements for the project.
II. DRAINAGE CONDITIONS
Presently, the project site is undergoing gravel extraction and
_ processing operations within certain portions of Phase I, while
leaving portions of Phase I undisturbed. The activities have
produced a gravel products processing area and a pond. It is
t intended to complete the construction of a shop area within an area
of Phase I which is presently irrigated. The drainage impacts of
' this activity have been included in the analysis. Presented in
Figure 1 are the various drainage basins and flow patterns of the
Phases of the project.
In summary, the phases and drainage subbasins are as follows:
1 Phases I 6 II - SB-3,4,7 and a portion of SB-5
Phase II (Optional) - SB-6
Phase III - SB-1
' Phase IV - the remainder of SB-5
Subbasin SB-2 was considered as off-site drainage flow and will be
discussed in the following section.
' III. OFF-SITE DRAINAGE
As shown in Figure 1, there are two subbasins that produce drainage
flows that can be considered off-site contri- butions to Phase I.
These subbasins are SB-1 and SB-2. Flows from SB-1 are considered
to flow into the existing pond or into the Los Pinos River. Flows
1 ,
-1-
1
