SHELTON, Director
October 30, 1987
Mr. Lewis Dick
Hartford A & I
Hartford Plaza
Hartford, Connecticut 06115
Re: GEC Coal Exploration, File CX-105-00 and O1
Dear Mr. Dick:
Following our telephone conversation, I made a brief check of the GEC
Minerals, Inc. files in order to verify the status of each. What I
found is that File CX-105-00 is inactive. We are therefore holding no
exploration bond for this project. Instead bond liability for this project
was transferred to the mine bond in 1981. The project entailed excavation
of a trench approximately 1/2 mile long, 100 feet deep, and 250 feet wide
in Section 25, T20S, R70W.
File CX-105-01 entailed the drilling of a number of exploration holes in Section
19, T20S, R69W. It is for this project that we require reclamation and
abandonment reports and for which we hold reclamation bond number RZ4355749.
We cannot release this bond until the necessary reports are filed and an
inspection demonstrates successful reclamation.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call.
Sincerely,
~~>ti
Susan J.
