Under current plans Che site recommended as being eligible for <br />listing on the National Register of Historic Places, SMF 948, <br />will not be impacted by mining operations. However; if plans <br />change with the site likely to be impacted, the company will <br />submit to the Division, OSM and the Colorado SHPO a mitigation <br />plan to deal with the impacts to these sites. The s:Ctes will <br />be avoided until the mitigation plan is apprbved by OSM in <br />consultation with the Colorado SHPO. <br />2. Under current plans, sites SME 289 and 680 will not ')e <br />impacted by mining operations. However, if plans change with <br />these sites likely to be impacted, the company will :submit to <br />the Division, and OSM, further documentaCion concern:Lng the <br />site(s) eligibility. If either is found eligible, an approved <br />mitigation plan will be required. <br />• 3. Prior to conducting coal exploration or developmentalL drilling <br />activities in the unleased Federal Coal in the eastern portion <br />of the permit area, the permittee must obtain an exploration <br />license from the Bureau of Land Management. The unlEeased <br />Federal coal is described as follows: <br />T. 5 N., R. 91 W., 6th P.M., S1/2SW1/4, SW 1/4SE1/4, sec. 1. <br />T. 6 N., R. 90 W., 6th P.M., SW1/4 and W1/25E1/4 sec,. 30. <br />4. Before any developmental drilling on leased Federal coal in <br />the eastern portion of the permit area is conducted, BLM must <br />have reviewed the Technical Analysis and specificall}~ <br />concurred in the developmental drilling provision of the <br />permit and mine plan applicator. <br />• <br />
