Walther
Executive Director
aGChael B. Long
Dwision Dueclor
The Division received one copy of the "Preliminary Design Report", from Sheperd Miller (your
consulting firm), for your proposed slurry wall on the south side of the West Pit.
The submittal did not include any information regazding whether this will be a to ~hnical revision
or an amendment submittal, nor did the submittal contain a revision fee. Obviously, since the
submittal is a change in the approved permit, but not significant enough to be an amendment, the
proposal must be submitted as a technical revision. The Division can not start the review until the
submittal is deemed complete (which includes a technical revision fee).
If you have any questions regazding this submittal, please give me a call.
Sincerely,
James Dillie

Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: H.
