I was able to talk to Susan McCannon this morning
concerning what, if anything was discussed at the CMA meeting on
Friday. Susan indicated that nothing final has been determined
with regard to access road certification and that the Division is
still attempting to determine how to proceed as the October 15
deadline for Rule changes and implementation approaches.
However, this should not affect your plan to upgrade Foidel Creek
mine roads prior to the close of this field season. Those cases
where existing access roads need to be certified can be handled at
a later time. However, surfacing, grading, shaping and general
upgrades to all road surfaces to meet the requirements of the
current performance standards should not be delayed due to the
question with regard to existing access roads.
If you have any further questions regarding this issue, please call
me.
Sin re y~~ ~/
%~//.~~
Ken A.
