-51- <br />This section applies to the following categories of mining: <br />Experimental Practices Mining <br />Mountaintop Removal Mining <br />Steep Slope Mining <br />Concurrent Surface and Underground Mining <br />Auger Mining <br />In-Situ Processing <br />Variances from Approximate Original Contour <br />The North Thompson Creek Mine application has been reviewed with respect <br />to the above special categories of mining. The Division finds that none <br />of the above categories are applicable to this operation. <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XXIII. <br />The following categories are applicable to this section: <br />Surface Mining Near Underground Mininy <br />Signs and Markers <br />General Requirements <br />Slides and Other Damage <br />Protection of Underground Mining <br />Coal Processing Plants and Support Facilities Not Located At <br />or Near the Mine Site or Not Within the Permit Area for the <br />Mine <br />Cessation of Operations <br />The application was reviewed to determine compliance with the above <br />categories and applicable regulations. The Division finds the <br />application in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XXIV. Operations on Lands Sub.lect to Limitations or Prohibitions - <br />Rules 2.03.7, 2.10. 2.07.6(2) and 7.01 <br />The D1vislon reviewed the application with respect to Rules 2.03.7 and <br />2.07.6(2). The Division finds that the operation is not included within <br />an area designated unsuitable for surface coal mining operations in an <br />administrative proceeding begun under Rule 7, or 30 CFR 769 of the <br />Federal Regulations. <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XXV. Demonsration that Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation <br />Operations Can be Feasibly Accomplished - Rule 2.07.6(2)(b) <br />Based on the information supplied in the application, the Division finds, <br />in accordance with Rule 2.07.6(2)(b), that the proposed mining and <br />reclamation activities can be feasibly accomplished. <br />The application 1s 1n compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />
