Box 2163
Grand Junction, Colorado 81501
Re: Una Pit, Permit No. 80-80
Dear Mr Jebsen:
We are in receipt of your letter dated March 27, 1985 and will amend our
records accordingly.
After reviewing your letter we are concerned about point no. 1 pertaining to
our inspection report. While Corn Construction may still have a valid lease
for this site, our concern pertains to actual mining activity. Pursuant to
Rule 1.6 of the Rules and Regulations, temporary cessation of operations must
be filed for if no mining has occurred for at least one hundred eighty days.
It is our belief that no mining has occurred for this long, therefore, the
operator needs to request a temporary cessation of operations.
The Mined Land Reclamation Board has recently enacted new Rules and
Regulations pertaining to temporary cessation to assist operators in making
this determination and to assist operators in filing the necessary information
if temporary cessation is deemed appropiate. If you do not have the most
current copy of the Rules and Regulations, submit X2.00 (to defray the cost of
reproduction) to this office along with a request for a copy.
If ou have any questions, please contact this office.
Sincer l~
Reclamation Specialist
PVOC/ygt
Doc.
