BOX 509 • ALAMOSA, COLORADO 81101 • (303) 589-5878 <br />Mined Land Reclamation <br />423 Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, CO 80203-2273 <br />ATT: Ann 6aldridge <br />RE: Midway Gravel Pits <br />Dear Ms. 6aldridge: <br />October 19, 1987 <br />~~~~ ~~~ <br />°C T ? u ts87 <br />~'?FC1 Au~4T ~~ Dr~S1{~-!i <br />As you know, the primary hold-up on acquiring a 112 Permit for the <br />subject Pits has been the highway access and associated right-of-way. <br />We have contacted Mr. Brian Borge of the State Highway Department and <br />are currently working with him on obtaining an amended right-of-way <br />allowing us to use the current access permanently, Once we know this <br />can be achieved we plan to survey off the proposed mining areas, pro- <br />vide the necessary bonds and request a 112 Permit for both problem <br />areas. <br />I apologize for our apparent lack of activity on these matters however <br />both an upswing in business and complications in my personal life <br />(a sudden death in my immediate family) has made it impossible for me <br />to complete this work. <br />I wish to point out that no mining activity has occurred since our <br />meeting in August nor do we intend to conduct any future activities <br />until such time as this matter can be resolved. <br />Based on this letter I hereby request that the Board considers another <br />continuance allowing us a prompt rectification in this matter. <br />Sincerely, <br />ANDERSEN CONSTRUCTION CO. <br /> <br />Todd A.
