Box 980
Gypsum, Colorado 81637
Dear Steve,
~=„~ ~ ~~~y- Q yl
g~v~ o-o ~
Feb 20, 2000
To follow up on our recent meeting on Feb 13, 2001, this is a summary of what we
discussed. You will be bidding out [he contract to complete the EA covering your
proposed operation. You will be coordinating with us to plan for a news release and joint
open house for the public, probably at your facility in Gypsum. This may also involve
plant tours for interested parties. Tt would be desirable to have the appropriate Eagle
County representatives, as well as your own contractor, attend the open house to gather
first hand information regarding the nature and degree of comments, concerns, etc.
As part of the plan approval process, ajoint on-site examination of the proposal (and
possible plant tour) will be conducted once the weather and surface conditions permit.
Once your contractor is selected, they will coordinate with this office on any remaining
information needs and successful completion of the EA as part of the overall plan
approval process. Jim Wilkinson will be the primary contact for this project. Feel free to
contact us if you have additional questicns regarding the process.
incerely,
Anne E. uebner a5
Field Office Manager
United States Department of the Interior
RECElVEC
BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT
Glenwood Springs Resource Area FEB 2 3 2r'
50629 Highway 6 and 24
P.O.
