Mr. Albert C. Ruckman
-2-
N
January 24, 1992
Therefore, if the Division finds evidence in subsequent inspections that
damage to Mr. Crist's trees is occurring due to dust from unstabilized areas
of your operation, a notice of possible violation may be issued.
The Division agrees with the Orchard~~lesa Research Center and suggests that
you consider limiting operations at the Parkerson Gravel Pit that create or
raise dust during the critical spring and early summer period. We suggest
that you contact the Center to determine the dates of this period. We also
suggest that you stabilize all areas of your pit that could contribute
excessive dust to the air and that you consider placing a wind sock southwest
of your pit and curtailing operations when the wind blows toward Mr. Crist's
orchard.
Please call if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Larry D.
