Dear Mr. Keffelew:
The Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company ("CC&V") has submitted a number of
requests to the Office of Mined Land Reclamation involving modifications of the construction
specifications that are a part of the subject permit. In order that we may complete our files, I
would like to list those requests in this letter, summarize each request, and obtain confirmation
from you that you have provided authorization to proceed in accordance with the request. [have
provided this letter in draft form to you at earlier dates in order that we are assured that we have
characterized each request correctly.
We are also attaching a copy of the CC&V letter for each request.

On June 3, 1994, Golder Associates sent a letter to the Office on behalf of CC&V requesting
that the grain size classification specified in the Application for Amendment Number 6 for the
leak detection fill material be modified. This material, which is to be derived from the
overburden and barren rock from the Gold Star Mine, was sieved to determine the gradation and
