Block 11-12
• 1996 -Gully repair.
Block 12-13
• 1996 -Gully repair.
Block 13-14
• No corrective measures taken to date.
1998 WEST RIDGE INVENTORY RESULTS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
Rlock 1-6
The erosion condition composite SSF score for this site was 12, which placed it in the
Stable erosion class. The tabulated results for this survey are contained in Table 13. Several rills
and small gullies remain above terrace 6 in the nontopsoiled areas. However, only a few of the
rills showed signs of recent activity while none of the gullies appeared active. Most of this block
had reclamation work performed on it in 1996. As such, vegetation over most of the block is still
spazse. The rills aze not extensive enough to require corrective measures at the time.
Table 13: West Ridge Block 1-6 Erosion Condition Classification
Possible
Item Score 1999 1998 1997 1996
Soil Movement 14 3 3 8 3
Surface Litter 14 0 0 3 0
Surface Rock Fragments ]4 0 0 0 0
Pedestalling 14 0 0 0 0
Flow Patterns 15 0 0 9 6
Rills 14 6 7 6 6
Gullies 15 3 3 9 3
Total 100 12 13 35 18
Erosion Condition Classification: Stable Stable Slight Stable
Block 6-7
The erosion condition composite SSF score for this site was 18, which placed it in the
Stable erosion class.
