Long
Division Director
As previously mentioned per earlier phone conversations, the Blue
Flame bond revocation site is in need of erosion' control
maintenance work requiring a geotextile fabric to address a slope
which is being subjected to gulleying. After reviewing available
products on the market, a turf reinforcement matrix product from
Synthetic Inustries exists which will provide immediate erosion
protection while facilitating vegetative establishment. Unbiased
comparative testing for strength and elongation properties have
been conducted by Utah State University and shows the Landlok TRM
1060 product to exibit superior tensile strength and resistence
to elongation properties. At present, only two companies carry
the product, Bowman Construction Supply and Contech, both in
Denver, Colorado. Below quoted prices include 2 rolls of
product, staples for installation and delivery to Durango.
Contech $1,006:00
Bowman Construction $1,100.00
