PUBLIC NOTICE
Trapper Mining Inc. intends to conduct blast-
ing opemfions during Ne one-year period ,_
wm-meriting October 3, 2005, at its Trapper ,
Mine sudace coal operations in Moffat
County, Colorado.
The blasting program will be conducted with-
in the following areas:
Ashmore Pit NE1/4 and SE1/9, Section 32,
T6N. R90W
Alintbck Pil SE1l4, Section 36, T6N,
R91W, and NEt/4, Section 1, TSN, R91W
Getting Pit SW7/q Section 32, T6N,
R90W, and NW1/4 and NE1/4 and SW1/4,
Section 5, TSN, R90W
2-Strike Pit SW1/4, Section 31, T6N,
R90W, and NW1/4, Section 6, TSN, R90W
The blasting program will be conducted daily
between sunrise and sunset. Orange woes
and/or 30" red and white octagon signs stat-
irg "Keep Out-Stop-Blasting Area° will iden-
tity all active blast patterns. In addition,
guards will be placed at all major roadways
that access the blast area at least 10 min-
utes prior to detonation antl remain in place
until the allclear signal.
The audible warnings prior to all blasts will
be:
' Five (5) long siren signals at 5 minutes.
' Twenty (20) shotl siren signals at 3 min-
utes.
' Steady electrk siren at 2 minutes.
' Tone charge electric siren at?0 sewrWs.
The allclear signal will be one long siren of
20 sewnds in duration.
Emergency situations may require that
DIas45 be wnducted other than dudng day-
light hours. Possible situations include:
1. Elimination of misfires.
2. Adverse weather wnddions.
3. Equipment failures or shutdowns.
4. Saiery-related reasons.
