SHELTON, Director <br />August 12, 1985 <br />Board of Commissioners <br />Routt County <br />522 Lincoln Avenue <br />Steamboat Springs, Colorado 80477 <br />Dear Sirs: <br />Pursuant to Section 34-33-114 of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation <br />Act, this letter is to inform you of the Mined Land Reclamation Division's <br />proposed decision to approve a permit for a surface coal mining operation. <br />The operation in question is Peabody Coal's Seneca II-W Mine and associated <br />haulroad. The operation is located approximately 7 miles south of <br />Hayden, Colorado. <br />Enclosed is a copy of the proposed decision. A public notice announcing this <br />proposed decision is being published in the Steamboat Pilot.
