-51- This section applies to the following categories of mining: Experimental Practices Mining Mountaintop Removal Mining Steep Slope Mining Concurrent Surface and Underground Mining Auger Mining In-Situ Processing Variances from Approximate Original Contour The North Thompson Creek Mine application has been reviewed with respect to the above special categories of mining. The Division finds that none of the above categories are applicable to this operation. The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. XXIII. ihiscellaneous Compliance - Rules 2.05.6(5), 4.01, 4.02, 4.1 a ~, ~ ,o ,..., ~ ~~, The following categories are applicable to this section: Surface Mining Near Underground Mining Signs and Markers General Requirements Slides and Other Damage Protection of Underground Mining Coal Processing Plants and Support Facilities Not Located At or Near the Mine Site or Not Witin the Permit Area for the Mine Cessation of Operations The application was reviewed to determine compliance with the above categories and applicable regulations. The Division finds the application in compliance with the requirements of this section. XXIV. Operations on Lands Sub.iect to Limitations or Prohibitions - Tne Division reviewed the application with respect to Rules 2.03.7 and 2.07.6(2). The Division finds that the operation is not included within an area designated unsuitable for surface coal mining operations in an administrative proceeding begun under Rule 7, or 30 CFR 769 of the Federal Regulations. The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. XXV. Demonsration that Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Operations Can be Feasibly Nccomolished - Rule 2.07.6(2)(b Based on the information supplied in the application, the Division finds, in accordance with Rule 2.07.6(2)(b), that the proposed mining and reclamation activities can be feasibly accomplished. The application is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
