Dept. of Natural RCSOUfCP.F
Land Reclamation Application
Dear Mr. Shelton:
In conjunction with our March 25, 1981 letter
to you on behalf of the Rio Blanco County Commissioners,
we also wish to request that the Mined Land Reclamation
Division withhold consideration of western Fuels' recla-
mation application until the Rio Blanco Board of County
Commissioners has had an opportunity to review and take
action on a pending application by Western Fuels for a
special use permit.
Since the special use permit application and the
reclamation application involve a number of similar ques-
tions, and since it has been the practice of the Mined
Land Reclamation Board to defer action until local vovern-
ment approval, we would strongly urrte that action by Rio
Blanco County precede action by the Board in this matter.
If you have any questions, please feel free to
call me. We would appreciate a prompt response to this
letter.
Sincerely yours,
Norton F. Tennille, Jr.
