Lunt; <br />Uirn~on DircUOr <br />This memorandum is in response to your request for clarification of Colowyu Coal Company's <br />reclamation responsibilities in Moffat County, Colorado. <br />Colowyo's permit area includes the area of the Axial (AKA Streeter) mine fire which the <br />Inactive Mine Reclamation Program (IMRP) has proposed to inclu~e in a reclamation project <br />(map attached). To my knowledge, this area has not been disturbednColo~~yo Coal Company. <br />Colowyo Coal Company therefore has no reclamation responsibilities for the area of the Axial <br />area. Should future mining plans include disturbance of this area, Colowyo Coal Company will <br />assume reclamation responsibilities. <br />xc: Erica Crosby <br />
