AMENDMENT <br />SUNLIGHT MINE RECLAMATION PROJECT <br />BID N0. RN-GOAL-MINES-3 <br />1. Special Conditions - List of Equipment Offered <br />Sentence number 4 within the paragraph of this section of the Special <br />Conditions that begins with the words "Inclusion of..." is hereby changed to <br />read: "Inclusion of a piece of equipment ,on the List of Equipment Offered <br />represents a commitment by the CONTRACTOR to utilize that piece of equipment <br />to perform the project work within the time period set forth in the job <br />schedule. It is not necessary that listed equipment be kept on the job site <br />for the full duration of project work, however the OWNER shall not pay any <br />additional costs for equipment remobilization above the amount bid on the bid <br />schedule for Mobilization/Demobilization." <br />2. Special Conditions = 4;2;B Structural Demolition and Removal <br />In order to provide the CONTRACTOR the option of burying demolished portions <br />of structures on site and within the working area limits, the following <br />paragraph is hereby added to section 4.2.8 of the Special Conditions: <br />The CONTRACTOR may dispose of any of the demolished items covered under this <br />specification by burying materials along the base of the main portal/mine <br />bench hillslope between the location of the access gate and the inclined mine <br />entry. This area is labeled "MATERIAL STORAGE AREA" on Map No. 3A, Mine Site <br />and Facilities Map, which is included in the original bid package as drawing <br />sheet 1 of 9. Burial of materials within this area shall be done only in <br />accordance with the following conditions and performance standards: <br />i. Buried material shall in all cases be covered with a minimum of <br />4 ft. (measured vertical]y) of non-coa] earth fil] material; <br />ii. The final surface configuration of the burial area shall be shaped <br />and graded to form an evenly sloping hillside intermediate in <br />steepness between the hillslope behind the burial area and the flat <br />mine bench in front of the burial area; <br />iii. All edges of the covered burial area (front, back, sides) shall be <br />tapered or otherwise graded to forma smooth transition from the <br />burial area land form to the adjacent hillslope and mine bench Tand <br />forms; <br />iv. In no case shall any level areas, depressions, or channels with the <br />potential to create erosional problems be left on the final burial <br />area surface, and in no case shall any portions of the final burial <br />area surface be steeper than 2h:ly measured in any direction; and <br />
