We have conducted testing on this well and
have discovered a leak using a gas tracer at 1030' on the 7" short string
casing. A water tracer test showed that the leak would not take water. The
well is shut in with no injection or production.
As a remedy to this situation, American Soda plans to remove the 4yz" short
string tubing from the well and repair the leak by setting a patch in the
7" casing. After passing a Mechanical Integrity Test and receiving approval
to commence injection the well will be placed back in operation.
Based on the availability of work over rigs American Soda plans to have the
well repaired by March 15, 2003.
If you have any questions or require more information please contact me at
970-285-0407.
Sincerely
~~
Ed Cooley
Environmen al Safety
and Health Manager
cc: Charlie Yates
Max Ramey
Robert Miller
Celina Akin
Chris Coyle
Delivering a Crystal Clear Advantage
www.americansoda.com
