Treatment
with KRENITE®S genemlly does no[ immediately affect deciduous woody plants;
they retain normal foliage for the remainder of the growing season. 7rea[ed
susceptible plants do not produce foliage or grow the following spring. Coniferous
species treated with KRENITEo S genemlly display visible symptoms following
application.
Effectiveness may be reduced if, following treatment, rainfall occurs on the same
day.
RESISTANCE
When herbicides that affect the same biological sire of action are used repeatedly
over several years to convol the same weed species in the same field, naNmlly-
occurting resistant biotypes may survive a cortectly applied herbicide treatment,
propagate, and become dominant in [hat field. Adequate convol of these resistant
weed biotypes cannot be expected. ]f weed control is unsatisfactory, it may be
necessary to retreat the problem area using a product affecting a different site of
c[ion.
o better manage herbicide resistance through delaying the proliferation and
possible dominance of herbicide resistant weed biotypes, it may be necessary
to change cu1Nm1 pmctices within and between crop seasons such as using a
combination of tillage, retreatment, tank-mix partners and/or sequential herbicide
applications [ha[ have a different site of action. Weed escapes [hat are allowed
to go to seed will promote the spread of resistant biorypes. If applicable, see the
Database and format cop)Tight ©bc C&P Press.
