<br />Application Timing

<br />• An application of ESCOR'I® XP may cause temporary discoloration {chlorosis)
<br />of [he grasses. Use the lower recommended rates for minimum discoloration.
<br />• With fescue and bluegmss, sequential applications made during the same or
<br />consecutive growth periods (i.e. spring artd fall) may result in excessive injury
<br />to rarF.

<br />NATIVE GRASSES
<br />ESCOR'i® XP is recommended for weed control end suppression in the estab-
<br />lishment and maintenance of native grosses. It may be used where blue grams,
<br />bluestems (big, little, plains, sand, ww spar), bromegmsses (meadow), buffalo-
<br />gmss, green spmngletop, indiangmss, kleingmss, lovegrasses (a[fierstone, sand,
<br />weeping, wilman), orchardgrass, sideoats grams, switchgmss (blackwell), wheat-
<br />gmss (bluebunch, intermediate, pubescent Siberian, slender, slreamband, tall, thick-
<br />spike, western), and mssian wildrye are established. It may also be applied over
<br />these species in the Seedling stage, except for orchardgrass and mssian wildrye.
<br />Application InformaBon
<br />Apply ESCORT° XP at the rate of Um ounce per acre for the conrol and suppres-
<br />sion" of bur buttercup (testiculam), common purslane, common sunflower", eudeaf
<br />eveningprimrose", flixweed*, lambsquarters" (common and slimleat), marestail",
<br />pigweed (redroot and ramble), snow speedwell, mnsymustard" and ramble mustard
<br />(Jim Hiil mustard).
<br />• Suppression is a visual reduction in wttd competition (reduced population or vigor) as
<br />rnmpared w unseated areas. Degree ofsuppression will vary with the six of weed and
<br />environmental conditions following treatment.
<br />Application Timing
<br />For established grasses, apply when weeds are in the seedling singe.
<br />For grasses in the seedling stage, aypty preplant or preemergence where the sail
<br />(seed bed) has been cultivated.
<br />BRUSH CONTROL
<br />Application Information
<br />ESCOR'I® XP is recommended for [he control of undesirable brash growing in
<br />non-crop areas. Applications may be made by air, high volume ground application,
<br />low volume ground application and ultra-low volume ground application. Except
<br />as noted for multiflom rose, ESCORT® XP should be applied as a spiny to the
<br />foliage.
<br />The application volume required will vary with the height and density of the brash
<br />and the application equipment used. Generally, aerial applications will require
<br />I S to 25 gallons of water per acre; high volume ground application will require
<br />100 to 400 gallons of water per acre: low volume ground application will require
<br />20 to 50 gallons of water per acre; and ultra-low volume ground application will
<br />require ]0 to 20 gallons of water per acre.
<br />Regardless of the application volume and equipment used, thorough coverage of
<br />the foliage is necessary to optimize results.

<br />Applicaton Timing
<br />Make a foliar application of the recommended rate of ESCORT° XP during the
<br />period from full leaf expansion in the spring nntil the development o£ full fall
<br />coloration on deciduous species to be controlled. Coniferous species may be
<br />treated at anytime during the growing season.

<br />After consulting the "Brash Species Controlled" table, tank mix dte prescribed
<br />rare of ESCORT° XP with the rate of "Accord" indicated for the various appli-
<br />cation methods on the "Accord" label. Refer to the "Accord" label for list of
<br />species controlled.
<br />"Arsenal" herbicide
<br />Combine 1 to 2 ounces of ESCOR7® XP with 1 to 4 pints of "Arsenal" herv
<br />bicide per acre and apply as a broadcast spray. Aerial applications should use a
<br />minimum of IS gallons per acre spiny volume. In addition to species listed above
<br />controlled by ESCOR7° XP, this combination controls black gum, hophombeam,
<br />sassafras, sweetgum, Vaccinium species, dogwood, myrtle dahoon, hickories, and
<br />persimmon.
<br />"Garton" 3A or "Garton" 4
<br />After consulting the "8msh Species Controlled" table, tank mix the prescribed
<br />rate of DuPontT"' ESCORT° XP with the rate of "Garton" indicated for the
<br />various application methods on the "Garton" label. Refer to [he "Garton" label
<br />for list of species controlled.
<br />DuPont Tr' KREMTE° S
<br />After wnsul[ing the "8msh Species Conuolled" mble, tank miz the prescribe
<br />rate of ESCOR7° XP with the rare of KRENITE° S indicated for [he various
<br />application methods on the KRENITE° S label. Refer to the KRENJ7E° S label
<br />for list of species controlled.
<br />"Tordon" K
<br />After consulting the "Brash Species Controlled" table, tank mix the prescribed
<br />rate of ESCOR-I® XP with the rate of "Tordon" K indicated for the various
<br />application methods on the "Tordon" K Zabel. Refer to the "Tordon" K label
<br />for list of species controlled.
<br />"Tordon" K + "Arsenal" herbcide
<br />Combine I to 1 4, ounces of ESCOR'I® XP with 2 to 8 fluid ounces of "Arsenal"
<br />and 1 co 2 pints of "Tordon" K per 100 gallons of water. Apply as a high volume
<br />spray. The tank mix connols cherry, elms, box elder, maples, hackbeny, redbud,
<br />ash, oaks (including shingle oak), black locust and sassafras.
<br />"'Tordon" K is a resMcted ux pesticide.
<br />Spo[gun Basal Soil Treatment
<br />For control of multiflom rose, prepare a spray suspension of ESCOR-Ira XP by
<br />mixing ]ounce per gallon of water. Mix vigorously until the ESCOR7® XP is
<br />dispersed and agitate periodically while applying the spiny suspension.
<br />Apply the spiny preparation with an exact delivery handgun applicator. Apply
<br />at the rate of 4 milliliters for each 2 feet of rose canopy diameter. Dirac[ the
<br />treatment to the soil within 2 fee[ of [he stem union, When treating large plants
<br />and mare than one delivery is required, make applications on opposite sides of
<br />the plant.
<br />Applications should be made from early spring to summer,
<br />IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS-NON-CROP BRUSH ONLY
<br />• When using tank mixtures of ESCORT° XP with companion herbicides, read
<br />and follow all use inswctions, application rotes, warnings and precautions
<br />appearing on the labels. Follow the most restrictive label instructions for each
<br />of the herbicides used.
<br />SPRAY EQUIPMENT
<br />Following an ESCOR7° XP application, do not use the sprayer or mixing equip-
<br />ment for application to agriculmml crops, except that i[ may be used to treat
<br />pasrare, range and wheat. This is eztremety important as low rotes of ESCORT°
<br />XP can kill or severely injure most agriculraml crops.
<br />The selected sprayer should be equipped with an agitation system to kee
<br />ESCOR'I® XP suspended in the spiny tank. Use a sufficient volume of water to
<br />thoroughly cover the foliage of undesirable weeds, generally 10 to 40 gallons per
<br />acre. Select a spiny volume and delivery system [hat will deliver a uniform spiny
<br />pattern. Be sure [he sprayer is calibrated before use. Avoid overlapping and shut
