Adams <br />~ County, Colorado. <br />No dewatering is proposed during the gravel mining operations. <br />Approximately 1000 gallons per day, 6 days a week, will be util- <br />ized for crushing, dust suppression, and other operations. This <br />water use will require less than 1 acre-foot of water per year. <br />~ The effect on nearby wells of use of this amount of water will be <br />negligible. Water for this use will be supplied from the lake <br />resulting from the mining operations or from an existing well <br />located 1350 north and 100 east of the SW corner of Section 25• <br />The lake will be utilized as an alternate point of diversion for <br />the well. The well is adjudicated for 2.888 cfs, equivalent to <br />~ approximately 1300 gallons per minute. It is presently used to <br />irrigate 40 acres in the E~NE~SE~ and E}SE~NE~ of Section 26. An <br />agreement has been made with the well owner to supply up to 100 <br />acre-feet per year from the well for water use on the subject pro- <br />perty. <br />~ An application is in process for a change of use for the well from <br />the present irrigation use to irrigation and commercial use. Make- <br />up water for consumptive use for the crushing and dust suppression <br />will be supplied through GASP or a similar program. All present <br />requirements for supplying consumptive use will be met through this <br />program. <br />~ The lake resulting from the mining operations will be left in ita <br />natural state during and after the mining. Evaporation from the <br />lake is expected to average approximately 30 inches per year. <br />With the gravel mining operation there will be no irrigation of <br />the 42.75 acres.
