In the attachment, Douglas C. Mac Laren, a <br />registered professional engineer with W.W. Wheeler and Associates, certifies that the pipclinc passed <br />hydrostatic testing on November 8, 2003 and that high pressure joints inspected by ultrasonic methods <br />were found to be free of defects. A few minor items remain to be constructod (culverts, retaining walls, <br />etc.), but chest items are not necessary to the near term safe operation oC the pipclinc, and construction <br />of these items will not impact the safe operation of the pipclinc. <br />The certification provided meets the requirements of Rule 7.3 oCthe Mineral Rules and Regulations of <br />the Mined land Reclamation Board. In accordance with Rules 7.3.1(5) and 7.3.2(3), tltc Division of <br />Minerals and Geology (DMG) hereby accepts the certification of the Storks Water Return System. i <br />With this acccptuncc, Climax may put the new pipclinc into service. As a condition of this acceptance, i <br />a copy of the final project report including as-builts and all testing data must be provided to UMG <br />before January 1, If any problems develop with the meeting oC this deadline, please contact me in <br />advance.
