Cattier completed an annual review <br />of all financial assurance agreements required by their RAIN license <br />and reported to RCD in a letter of July 13, 1994. Th.e review <br />resulted in an increase of surety coverage to $2,104,087 for the <br />Schwartzwalder Mine Ore Crusher/Sorter and Water 7.'reatment <br />facilities. <br />Enclosed is a copy of Part 4 - Standards For Protection Against <br />Radiation - of RCD's Rules and Regulations Pertaining to F~adiation <br />Control. Part 4, based on NCR's 10 CFR 20, went into effect <br />January 1, 1994. <br />The third item your requested was a description of Cotter's <br />Schwartzwalder radiation monitoring program. The following is a <br />list of monitoring requirements. Detail of each monitoring <br />procedure is found in Cotter's Radiological Health and Safety <br />Procedures Manual. The monitoring procedures are divided into <br />categories of personnel monitoring and environmental monitoring. <br />Personnel Monitoring <br />Bioassavs <br />Urine Sampling - urinalysis for ura~lium is <br />performed quarterly. Results are reported in µg/1. <br />In Vivo Measurements - in vivo bioassay scans are <br />not obtained routinely. <br />
