Deny @f :!?r,rzi r,;,,,,__,
Stipulation 35 of Permit No. C-007-80 granted) to Atlantic
Richfield for its Mt. Gunnison Mine required tha we submit a
plan for monitoring the agricultural usage and pr ductivity of
the North Fork Alluvial Valley Floor (AVF). A plan was
submitted to your office in February 1982 andisubsequently
approved in June 1982.
I
Then in December we requested that we be allowedto terminate
monitoring of the agricultural usage and productivity
following submittal of the results of the 1982agricultural
survey. Jerry Zimpfer, in a May 1983 memo, approved that
request adding that the results of the 198 survey be
submitted and that if satisfactory then further monitoring
could be suspended. i
Unfortunately, the results of the 1982 survey w re lost and
thus was never submitted. Therefore we complete a survey of
the 1983 growing season productivity in the North Fork AVF for
your review. I trust that this survey is satisfactory and
that further monitoring of the productivity of t e North Fork
AVF by Atlantic Richfield will not be required.
Sincerely,
r-_
1
Paige .
