Th Er
reining will incor•p~~r`ate ire-pr-ocess r•eclanrat ion. In this way the
minimum amount of dist~ar•bed acreage will be exposed during thEi
mining. All equipment and structures will 6e removed after
mining, although gravel roads will be left for the use of the
rancher.
The reclaimed c~~nfiguration of the land will be very similar to
its existing situation but 4 to S feet iower•. This difference in
. elevation represents the rock products removed. The existing
drainage patterns on the site will be maintained. Water will be
allowed to exit through the berms at regular intervals. We
' anticipate that only in the severest rainstorms will any water
actually flow through these runoff channels. Presently, most of
the r•ainwater• percolates in the soil because of its porosity. By
' T•eplacing, as undersize material, all rack and sand less than 8!B
inch in diameter, the ex ist inp soil strata will be maintained and
thus its por•~~sity. Inspection ~~f the Site reveals there is no
' severe gullying occurr•inp because so much oY' the water d~~es soak.
int~~ the s~~ii.

Gr~ag.i ng
Final grading will be car•r•ied on to r•ecr•eate the existing slope
of the pr•ound. The excavation itself will be approximately ter,
feet C1tX') deep. The under•si ze r•~~ck and sand will be spread in a
layer appr•ox innately 3 to 4 feet deep and compacted by thEr
bulldozer during its work. The overburden material will then he
deposited by a scraper in a 1'c' to 'ctd inch layer. Then the
surface s~~il layer will 6e spread in a 4 t~~ Ic inch layer.
Ther•efor•e. the remaining gr•o~.~nd will be appr•ox imately four root
(4') Iower• than the existing ground. The etlges of each mining
phase will be sloped no st eeper• than 3:1. A1S ar•ading will be
cunt inu~~us and uniform and will be per•for•med in such a nTanner• as
to minimize erosion.
As previously discussed, the water quality in Lvne Tree Creek
will 6e protected by a minimum cIDtD foot setback, by no mining iri
the fl~~odpiain and by use of the r^un~~ff ch anneis thr•~~~_rgn the
berms.
No acid f~~r•ming nor• t~~xic pr•~~d ucin^ mat er•ial ar•e known to exist
in the over•b~ar•den or the nrater•iaSs to 6e mined. ReY'use will rn~t
6e generated on the affected land nor• will any refuse be disposed
of on the mining site.
E - 1
