not consistent with that specified in previous Division Findings. An additional concern
was that methods of statistical evaluation and demonstration of revegetation success were
not addressed in the application.
These concerns were addressed by the applicant in TR-10. The amended diversity
standard is as follows:
A minimum of three perennial species shall each
provide a minimum of 3% relative cover. At least two
of these species must be cool season perennial grasses.
No individual species shall represent more than 60%
relative cover.
The amended woody plant density standard is as follows, and is in accordance with
standards specified in previous Division Findings Documents:
Greasewood Shtubland 500 stems/acre
Shadscale Shrubland 500 stems/acre
Big Sagebrush Shrubland 500 stems/acre
Juniper Woodland 1,500 stems/acre
Amended page 3-15, in Volume VI, states:
Statistical adequacy will be demonstrated using
formulas recommended in the Division's current bond
release guideline. Statistical tests of success will also
follow the procedures recommended in the bond release
guideline.
Certain additional modifications were made to the revegetation plan within Section 3.9 of
the permit application, primarily in response to BLM comments made during the public
comment period for Technical Revision No. 11. These changes included commitment to
the use of certified weed free mulch, and modification to the reclaimed azea fencing plans
to accommodate livestock movement along the travel route in Munger Canyon.
Additionally, based on the limited disturbance acreage currently approved (5.6 acres), the
requirement 1.'or quantitative interim revegetation monitoring was eliminated. The need
for interim monitoring will be reevaluated if expansion of cturently disturbed areas is
approved in the future, or if qualitative observations indicate potential concerns with
revegetation :success.
Pursuant to Rule 2.07.6(2)(n) the Division has determined that no threatened or
endangered species of plants exist at the Munger Canyon site, based on information
supplies by the applicant. The following additional specific findings are required.
a~
