The area has been
topsoiled, graded, ripped and seeded on the contour. Immediately following
seeding the ground froze and when contour furrowing was initiated, the tractor
broke down. Due to the frozen nature of the ground, contour furrowing at the
present time would require ripping and disturbance of the seed bed. Due to
the areas relatively gentle slope, short slope length, southerly aspect, and
rough condition, significant erosion should not occur. As requested, CYCC
will install contour furrows next spring when weather and soil conditions
permit.
Bob indicated that this variance could be granted, however, he requested a
follow-up letter. If there are any questions, or a need for this request to
be submitted as a minor revision, please notify me.
Sincerely,
_~rrrul,2 ~ohnson. ~ ~c~ j
V Cl~.w .nce~
Terrell K.
