My comments aze as follows;
Identification of Interests
As you are awaze, the Bourg mine is operated by Flatiron Companies. The permit renewal in
1993 was issued to Walden Coal Company. We agreed that a transfer application needs to be
filed with the Division to properly change the operator and permittee from Walden Coal
Company to Flatiron Companies. I am unable to do an AVS check on the permit renewal
application until we have done one on the transfer application. Please forwazd me a copy of the
transfer application and a list of the owners and controllers once it has arrived. I can then do an
AVS check on the transfer and the permit renewal.
Reclamation Cost Estimate
I revised the reclamation cost estimate for the Bourg Mine. The grand total bond amount totals
$88,773.00. I included a cost for noxious weed control and rill and gully repairs that were noted
in the text of the permit.
Please let me know if you or the operator have any questions.
Enclosure(s)
c:\esc\misc\982003
