Edna Mine Vegetation Final Bond Release Monitoring 2005-2006
classification surveys will be performed on the West Ridge: Previously Disturbed
and Moffat Previously Disturbed areas, since they have unique slopes, soils and
aspects that affect their overall stability.
Weed Infestations
Significant infestations of noxious or targeted weed species as listed by Colorado
will be identified and their location indicated on the baseline inventory map.
Weed infestation observations will be made opportunistically in conjunction with
vegetation parameter monitoring.
Panoramic Photographs
Panoramic Photographs will be taken for each reclaimed area that is sampled.
Photographs will be included in the monitoring report. Photograph location and
direction will be observed and recorded.
VEGETATION FINAL BOND RELEASE MONITORING METHODS
Vegetation monitoring methods will use standard accepted practices and
methods. Sample points will be selected using stratified random methods as
described in this section. Cover, production and woody stem density
measurements will be taken at the sample points as described in this section.
TIMING OF VEGETATION SAMPLING
Cover and production samples will be taken during the projected peak of the
growing season. This typically occurs during the period from late June through
September, depending upon a given year's precipitation patterns. Woody stem
density measurements may be taken any time of the year, but normally they will
be performed in conjunction with cover and production sampling.
Habitat Management, Inc. 6 4/8/2025
