<br />with Telluride Gravel's business operation, offices associated with Telluride Gravel's business <br />operation, and maintenance facilities for vehicles and equipment associated with the business <br />operation. The days and hours of Telluride Gravel's operations at Ilium Valley, which <br />qualify as pre-existing nonconforming uses, has historically been Monday through Saturday <br />from 6;00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and cement deliveries and maintenance of plant and equipment <br />on Sundays also qualify as pre-existing nonconforming uses. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners does hereby fmd and determine that <br />there is not competent evidence in the record that the following specific operations and <br />associated structures previously or currently located at Telluride Gravel's Alexander Pit <br />Operations in the Ilium Valley qualify as pre-existing nonconforming uses: the structures used <br />for the welding and tire shops (except the addition to the fire shop for which a building permit <br />was issued in 1992), the mobile home located in the pit area known as the "pit trailer", and <br />asphalt batching (manufacture) and those facilities and equipment associated with making <br />asphalt, on either a temporary or permanent basis. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. These specific current operations and associated structures at Telluride Gravel's <br />Alexander Pit Operations in the Ilium Valley, as specifically located and described on [he <br />survey plat and maps of the Alexander Pit submitted by Telluride Gravel, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A", qualify as pre-existing <br />nonconforming uses: sand and gravel mining, processing of material mined from the <br />Alexander Pit and material imported from off-site, concrete batching and production, <br />manufacture of precast concrete products, stockpiling of processed and unprocessed materials, <br />storage and pazking of equipment, materials, and vehicles associated with Telluride Gravel's <br />business operation, offices associated with the business operation, and maintenance facilities <br />for vehicles and equipment associated with the business operation. The days and hours of <br />Telluride Gravel's operations at Ilium Valley, which qualify as pre-existing nonconforming <br />uses aze Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Cement deliveries and <br />maintenance of plant and equipment on Sundays, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., also qualify as <br />pre-existing nonconforming uses. <br />2. The fo]]owing specific operations and associated strucmres previously or currently <br />located at Telluride Gravel's Alexander Pit Operations in the llium Valley do not qualify as <br />pre-existing nonconforming uses: the structures used for the welding and fire shops (except <br />the addition to the fire shop for which a building permit was issued in 1992), the mobile home <br />]ocated in the pit azea known as the "pit trailer", and asphalt batching (manufacture) and those <br />facilities and equipment associated with making asphalt, on either a temporary or permanent <br />basis. <br />2 <br />
