In support of <br />this notice of temporary cessation Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. submits the following <br />information: <br />(a) Permit No. C-92-081 covers a total of 176.3 acres of which 97.1 surface <br />acres have been affected prior to cessation. No subsurface strata have <br />been affected. <br />(b) No reclamation of the surface azea has been accomplished through the date <br />of temporary cessation. <br />(c) Semi-annual environmental motitoring along with surface and ground <br />water monitoring activities will continue during the period of temporary <br />cessation as required pursuant [o the terms of Permit No. C-92-081. In <br />addition, rail and truck loop ponds permitted under NPDES will continue <br />to be monitored during the period of temporary cessation as required <br />pursuant to the terms of existing NPDES Permit No. COG-85-0008. <br />(d) The temporary cessation of operations is a result of the Hayden Gulch <br />Terminal and its affiliates not having an existing mine requiring the use of <br />a coal loadout facility at this time. It cannot be anticipated at this time <br />when operations will be resumed at the Hayden Gulch Loadout. <br />
