I4. Geology - Rule 2.04.5 and 2.04.6(1)
There are no changes to this section. The renewal application is found to be
in compliance with this section.
Hydrologic Balance: Surface Water - Rules 2.04.5, 2.04.7, 2.05.3(4),
an
The information presented in this section continues to be valid with the
following modifications:
As required by Stipulation No. 1, five surface water monitoring
stations were established. On February 6, 1987 the Division
approved Technical Revision No. 6 which reduced the required
surface water monitoring to one site. This site, Station SW-5,
was located downstream of the disturbed area on the Gordon
Arroyo. On April 5, 1989 the Division received Technical
Revision 10. This revision suspends hydrologic monitoring at the
site. Therefore, Stipulation No. 1 is not longer required.
Stipulation No. 2 required that any ponds built at the site must
be certified by a registered professional engineer. Under the
permit renewal allowing only reclamation, no further ponds will
be built, therefore this stipulation can be removed from the
Findings Document.
Stipulation No. 3 required a report, certified by a registered
professional engineer, that the existing sediment pond was built
according to the approved p1 an. This certification was received
by the Division; this stipulation can be removed from the
Findings Document.
The remainder of this section remains as presented in the 1983
Findings Document. The Division finds there is sufficient
information within the permit and renewal applications to find
this section in compliance.
VI. Hydrologic Balance: Ground Water - Rules 2.04.5, 2.04.7, 2.05
~~a
The information presented in this section continues to be valid with the
following modifications:
Stipulation No. 4 required the establishment of a detailed ground
water monitoring plan. This plan was submitted and approved. On
February 6, 1987 the Division approved Technical Revision No. 6
which reduced the sampling frequency from quarterly to
semi-annually, reduced the list of chemical parameters and
reduced the number of wells to be monitored.
-7-
