~ ~ ~ S ~ ~ ~ s i ~ r~ ate: s aim. as ~, ~ s. ~ .
Mr. Jim Tatum
ref: Solitario Ranch
March 8, 1993
page 8
t~;
~f~ .

Debris in this area of the upper level roof is either from repair to the chimney on the upper level southwest corner or the result of
chimney stucco deterioration. The stucco coating on this chimney needs repair now.
Photog~phs 14 & 15
Areas of the upper level roof system near the roof scuppers which currently need repair as they are subject to leakage. The
conditions noted could be attributed to either foundation movement or thermal expansion and contraction of the roofing materials.
The long arrows in photo 15 indicate the direction water flows on this section of the roof. This lap joint highlighted by the circle was
improperly made, creating a potential roof leak. The lap joint material should be installed shingle fashion so that the joint sheds water
rather than damming water.
Straight line cracks in the parapet wall. The cracks are relatively shallow and are considered to be typical stucco deterioration.
