Proper grazing
management is essential as heavy grazing will
lead to even heavier stands of sagebrush.
Fringed sagebrush: soil moisture arri timing
is critical with phenoxy herbicides. Spray
when new growth is 2 inches (5 cm) or more.
Spraying operations should be made when Sand
sagebrush is growing rapidly and 6 to 3 inches
(15 to 20 cm) of new twig growth is evident.
These conditions generally occur from May IS
to June 20. Sufficient moisture must be
present to insure continued plant growth.
Sand sagebrush may resptout and a repeat
spraying may be necessary. Defet grazing
through the growing season in year that it is
sprayed.
•
•
