Our experience with the agencies that are in charge of public protection
has not been good. In the first Tatum-Basin trial, state and federal
officials denied or avuided the foci that the methane being discharged was
killing vegetation; our water well was ruined and nothing was done to
correct the problem thus depriving our livestock of water. The methane
damage is clearly visible on the Toupal propertyjust east of our ranch and
we lost vegetation at the fan discharge site..
We want our land restored without this gaping trap just under the surface. We
want our water wells restored or replaced. In short we want our damages made good
based upon truth and fact, not on dishonesty and misrepresentation. I am aware that the
bond is still in place on the property on the North side of Highway 12 where the airshaft
is located. Can DMG force Basin to restore my property at that location?
Please direct your response to our Colorado address and facsimile transmit a copy
of same to our Houston facsimile number. Thank you.
Very truly yours,
JIM TATUM AND ASSOCIATES
im Tatu~
JT/ah
