Prouaole Hydrologic Consequences of hlininq and Cwnulative <br />r+voruloa~c Jmoact atuov - Holes Z.Ub.bl.t) anu z.U/.blZllcl <br />This CHiS assesses the pruoable cumulative hydruloyic impacts of all <br />anticipated coal :pining operations upon the general area of the worth <br />Fork of the Gunnison River Valley. Included in tnis assessment are all <br />existiny coal mines and those proposed coal mines for which permit <br />applications have been submitted to the Division. Tnis study has ueen <br />prepared using information and analyses contained in the Urchard Valley <br />Mine permit application, information and analyses contained in other <br />permit applications for mines located in the general area and other <br />available information including site visitation by members of the <br />Division staff. <br />Coal mininy operations in the study area include: <br />1. Western Slope Caruon - Nawk's Nest Mines, CMLRD File wo. <br />C-016-til <br />All of these coal mines have life-of-.nine areas within a 247 square mile <br />subwatershed of the 1253 square mile fVurth Furk of the Gunnison drainage <br />basin (Figure 1), and have Deep considered as the mines in the yeneral <br />area for this study. <br />Tne hlid Continent Resources, Coal fiasin Mines will extend into the upper <br />trioutaries of 1~7uddy Creek, a tributary to the iVOrth Fork of the Gunnison <br />(Fiyure 1). These mines were excluded from this CHIS for the following <br />reasons: <br />
