Well 31-7M
will be sampled within one year prior to bond release. Additional wells for
which monitoring is not currently specified will be left open to allow for bond
release monitoring if deemed necessary in the future.
b. The alluvial well (QAL-5) will be monitored quarterly for water level, pH,
conductivity, and temperature, and will be sampled annually for complete
list of water quality parameters. Depth to groundwater is measured
annually during the summer at all bedrock wells.
c. Results from the monitoring are reported to the Division within the Annual
Hydrology Report, to be submitted by February 15, each year.
d. Groundwater quality parameters include:
Field Measurements Laboratory Analysis
Discharge (or level) Ammonia Manganese, Total
pH Bicarbonate Nickel, Total
Specific Conductance Boron Nitrate
Temperature Calcium Potassium
Carbonate Selenium, Total
Chloride Sodium
Copper, Total Sulfate
Fluoride
Iron, Total Total Dissolved Solids
Lead, Total
Magnesium Sodium Adsorption Ratio
2. Surface water monitoring is currently limited to monitoring required under the
CDPS discharge permit, as necessary to demonstrate compliance with water
quality standards and effluent limitations pursuant to 4.05.2. Additional
surface water monitoring which had previously been required was terminated
pursuant to TR-47, in 1997.
21
