Computer requirements to use the DMG document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be ihstelled on yo '" in order to use a DMG imaging CD [he first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation ~ ~ are. 2. The CD or DV D~that you purchase must be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or ~' VD. 3. The CD will contain files with Ute .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture end Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and Utey ¢o not work with QuickV iew. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DMG has determined that a program called "IrfanV iew", which can be downloaded from IrfanV iew.com, does work with QuickV iew. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as yom default .tif viewer. DMG does not support or endorse this 'software and the licensing and registration aze the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Instructions• 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. / 3. Eject the CD fiom the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view [he Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. Instructions for manually installing QuickView aze available upon request with [he CD or can be viewed at www.minin¢state.co.us. The Permit File document images can be viewed in the reception area of the DMG office or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost covers the time and labor of making the CD. DMG cannot provide computer related support.
