<br />- Between 20 and 30 Ponderosa Pine and Engelmann Spruce ranging <br />from 2 to 4 feet in height will be planted in specially prepazed soil at <br />scattered locations on the restored tailings pond. Approximately 20 <br />Serviceberry and 20 Common Gooseberry shrubs will be planted at <br />irregulaz intervals among the transplanted trees. (Item 1) <br />11. A sprinkler irrigation system will be used to avoid dehydration of the two seed <br />beds during each of the grass seed germination periods. (Item 1) <br />12. Some additional fertilizer will also be applied during the first two or three <br />tears following the revegetation of each part of the tailings retention structure. <br />(Item 1) <br />13. There is currently a fence azound the tailings impoundment and this fence will <br />be maintained and upgraded during the life of the operation until the tailings <br />area is reclaimed. The applicant agrees to sample all four (4) monitoring points as required by <br />the permit (T'I-83-141) on a quarterly basis and to contain all information as is <br />present on the last sampling sheet. (Item 3: February 15, 1995) <br />- This water sampling program will continue until such time as the <br />MLRB Division is satisfied that no ground water pollution is trapped <br />on this mill site.(Item 3: February 15, 1995) <br />- COM Inc. will continue ground water monitoring for one (1) yeaz <br />after reclamation. The Bureau of Mines monitoring wells will be plugged prior to reclamation, <br />however the Bureau of Mines will be contacted prior to plugging to determine <br />whether the Bureau of Mines and/or the Division of Water Resources has <br />continued use for the wells.
