The amendment is only for the use of a Retail <br />Landscaping Yard and does not effect any of the gravel mining operation. The existing office and <br />scale will be used and some of the areas already permitted for stockpiling will be used for stockpiling <br />landscape materials. The current permit also allows for processing of offsite materials, therefore very <br />few visible changes will occur oo site. A landscape display area and parking spaces have been added, <br />adjacent to the existing office and an additional sign is being requested. Carl Mount, with the Division <br />of Minerals and Geology (DMG), has been contacted regarding the additional use and has verbally <br />indicated that a technical revision is not required. A letter has been sent to the DMG requesting a <br />written confumation of such and will be forwarded to your office as soon as it is received. <br />The following items aze enclosed, in packets, for review by the Department of Planning Services and <br />the appropriate referral agencies: <br />• A letter requesting apre-advertisement of the Boazd of County Commissioners Hearing and a <br />check in the amount of $35.00 <br />• A letter of authorization from Hall-Irvin Corporation <br />• Use by Special Review Application and a check in the amount of $2000.00 for the application <br />fee <br />• Background information including: Letter dated January 2, <br />change determination, substantial change determination letter <br />January 3, 2002, Amendment to DMG permit dated January <br />previous amendment dated July 24, 2000 <br />• Use by Special Review Questionnaire <br />• Business Emergency Information form <br />• Weld County Road Access Information Sheet <br />HALL 1 RWIN <br />C O R P O R A T I O N <br />2002 regarding substantial <br />from Planning Staff dated <br />17, 2001, Application from <br />3G26 dTH AVE.
