The information presented below, and as
attachments to this letter, will serve to satisfy the stipulation.
Stipulation 2 - The attached report addresses this stipulation. The
report was prepared by 11r. Jim Nalven while the water analysis was
performed by Bookcliffs Commercial Laboratories. The water samples
were obtained on August 29, 1983.
Stipulation 13 - The attached pages contain the revegetation
monitoring plan. It is presented in a form that can be inserted
directly into the permit.
Stipulation 16 - The methodology used to determine the volumes of
fill is as follows: The area to be backfilled and the postmining
topography of the area was planimetered. After this information was
obtained, the following formula was used to arrive at the volume of
dirt required to be moved: 1/3 h [(b + b ) + ( b x b )]. The
value obtained was then cross-check~d us~ina the cross-25ectional
method. These values were generated by an outside consultant.

i,-;`; ? `~ 193
i
mpireEnergy Corporation
P.O. BOX 68. CRAIG. COLORADO 81626 X3031 824-8246
~r
