Box 471
Boulder, CO 80306
Re: Gold Hill Mill, Colina Oro Molino, Inc., File No. M-94-117
Dear Mr. Sprague:
Please find enclosed a copy of an adequacy review letter prepared by the
Division of Minerals and Geology for the above referenced application.
The applicant would like to retain the mill building as a permanent post-
operational feature. The Division believes that the Mined Land
Reclamation Act would allow retention of the mill building, as long as it
can be put to a beneficial post-operational use. Please refer to item no.
10 of the adequacy letter in this regard.
If retention of the mill building as a post-operational feature would be
contrary to Boulder County regulations, demolition of the building could
then possibly be written in as a requirement of the state reclamation
permit, and the cost to remove the building could be incorporated into the
reclamation bond.
Please let me know if the County would like to have any input on this, or
any of the other aspects of the application.
Sincerely,
~j.
~~~1` `~~~~~
Allen C.
