Long <br />Division Dueclor <br />As a result of review by the Division of Minerals and Geology of your permit application, pertinent geology and <br />geochemistry, and recent inspection reports, your Gold Links Mine, Permit No. M-87-143, has been determined <br />to be a Designated Mining Operation. This office is hereby notifying you of this determination. Pursuant to Rule <br />7.2 of the Minerals Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, the above-named <br />operation has been determined to be a Designated Mining Operation for [he following reason: <br />Toxic or acid-forming materials are or will be exposed or disturbed as a result of mining activities: The <br />permit area contains substantial amounts of old tail materials, which are metals-bearing and are currently <br />disturbed in the ongoing operations. <br />2. Acid mine drainage occurs or has [he potential to occur due [o mining or reclamation activities: There is <br />an ongoing discharge from the mine, which Flows over and/or through a portion of [he above-mentioned <br />tails.
