A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD and must be installed on your computer in order ro use a DBMS imaging CD <br />the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. <br />2. The CD or DVD that you purchase anal be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. <br />3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension There needs ro be sn image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that <br />will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture <br />and Fax Viewer" or "Palm" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that corms with pre-Windows XP computers <br />does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from hfanView.com, does work with <br />QuickView. After downloading "hianView", it needs ro be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse <br />this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as <br />"Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". <br />Instructions• <br />Insert the CD into your computer. <br />2. Allow time for the CD ro install <br />3. Eject the CD tiom the corr>puter. <br />4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. <br />5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. <br />NOTE: A program called QuickView Autrnvn, which runs the Q1FickView <br />setup program, has also been copied ro this CD. If the Auroivn program <br />does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. <br />Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request <br />with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.co.us. <br />The Permit Flle document images can be viewed in the receptlon area olthe DBMS office or they can be purchased ou s CD or DVD. <br />The CD/DVD purchase cost covers the time apd labor of making the CD.
