• • <br />-z- <br />As a further note, it has been the Division's policy that in areas that were <br />previously disturbed such as the Empire Energy pit and the Utah International <br />Colt (C) pit, that if a mining company enters the area and redisturbs a <br />previous disturbance, the mining company becomes obligated to reclaim and <br />revegetate the site to the current performance standards. In this light the <br />Empire Energy pit, since it is an active part of the Trapper '.Hines <br />sedimentation control system, presents an interesting situation in that it may <br />be considered a part of the active mining operation and therefore subject to <br />the permanent program revegetation success standards. <br />In any event, I feel that the Division needs to further discuss these policies <br />in light of the Trapper Mine request. <br />/th <br />Doc.
