This map was submitted in response to the requirements
within Stipulation No. 3 of the Orchard Valley mine permit. This map fulfills
the requirements of Stipulation No. 3 of the permit, with one exception.
Stipulation No. 3 included a statement requiring quarterly monitoring of the
installed network and benchmarks "in order to determine the adequacy of the
simplistic monument proposed for use in this network,"... I recommend that
we approve the submittal by Colorado Westmoreland with the condition that they
complete "...quarterly monitoring of the monument network for a minimum of
9 months prior to mining within the subject panel." (Quotations from Stipulation
No. 3, Permit No. C-038-81.)
/mt
cc: Ed Bischoff
Dave Shelton
