<br />The additional permit area encompassed by the addition of the Eastern Lease Modification

<br />The additional area of the Eastern Lease Modification, Right-of-Way, and boundary
<br />adjustment contains 3,518 acres, of which 1,875 acres are on private land and 1,643 acres
<br />are on federal land. The proposal would expand the Sanborn Creek Mine permit area to
<br />9,047 acres, of which 3,553 acres are on private land, and 5,494 acres are on federal land.
<br />The mine site is located north of the town of Somerset, Colorado. The North Fork of the
<br />Gunnison River is located south of the town of Somerset. The mine permit areas are
<br />located on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Bowie and Somerset Quadrangle maps.
